WHAT IS PEERMARK?

PeerMark is an online peer review program that allows you to review papers submitted by other students in the same class. This software is used by many universities in Australia and internationally.

Peer reviews can be anonymous or you may be permitted to see who reviewed your paper this is a setting controlled by teaching staff. Depending on the nature of the assignment, staff may also provide the option for you tocomplete a self-review of your own paper.

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT TO PEERMARK?

PeerMark assignments are based on papers submitted to Turnitin they do not require submission of another document. Since the same document is used, the same restrictions apply as for submitting to Turnitin.

Accepted formats able to generate a similarity report are:

Microsoft Word

Powerpoint

Excel

Corel WordPerfect

Adobe PostScript

PDF

HTML

RTF

OpenOffice

Hangul

Google Docs

Plain text.

Size limit: 20 MB / one million characters / 40 pages.  If your document is larger than these limits, please contact your lecturer.

Must not be password protected: ensure that you do not save your document this way.

Most assignments submitted to Turnitin require you to include your name and/or student ID in the paper. However, teaching staff may request that you do not insert these details when submitting to Turnitin when using anonymous peer review via PeerMark, so that you are not identified to the reviewer.
